We are so excited you want to join us at the 20th Summit! To help guarantee your success, we suggest following these steps before the applications open:
– Please read this webpage carefully. Look at the Seven Issues; decide which 3 you are most passionate about.
– Decide what category of delegate is right for you (Diplomat, Filmmaker, Advisor)
– Research your travel costs and your visa needs.
– Get these attachments and links ready:
- One sample (short story, video reel, script, photography portfolio, article, etc.) of what you believe to be the best example of your creative work.
- Your CV, a letter of recommendation or anything else that will impress us
Delegates will be charged between 950,00 and 1250,00 EUR for the 13-day Summit (arrival on July 17, departure on July 29). This payment will cover:
– Transportation to and from the city of Karlovac from Zagreb airport only (in case you fly in to other airports in Croatia, you will have to arrange your own transport – we will provide you with help/instructions based on the city you arrive to).
– Three meals a day, with special diets available.
– The excursions.
– All special events: The Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Talent Show and dance parties.
– Housing: depending on your choice of room, the participation fee will be as follows:
– triple room participation fee: 950,00 EUR
– double room participation fee: 1.030,00 EUR
– single room participation fee: 1.250,00 EUR
These are ‘hard costs’ and we cannot waive this fee. Delegates will be provided with official invitation documents to use for their fundraising efforts, as well as fundraising suggestions. IYMS cannot take any responsibility for helping delegates to raise their funds. Delegates will also need to pay their own round trip flights to Zagreb, Croatia from their home cities, and any passport or visa costs. Please note: delegates who have been chosen for the Summit will need to pay a non-refundable 100,00 EUR deposit to hold their spot no later than 14 days after they receive their selection letter. The final payment (remainder of the participation fee) will be due by June 15, 2025).
We will open the applications in January 2025. To apply for the Summit, you will need to fill out the full application form. We expect to contact the first accepted delegates by February 14, 2025.
We expect to host 60-80 delegates from more than 20 countries.
Visa applications can be lodged no more than six months before the start of the intended trip. If you will need a visa to enter Croatia, you will be able to apply for a it as soon as you receive your acceptance letter. We highly encourage you to do so. For delegates who are accepted, we will be providing an invitation letter, stating you have been invited to the Summit.
